Beginning Monday, April 28, the Pharmacy at the North Central Federal Clinic will reopen after renovations to the air conditioning system and replacement duct work were completed.

Thank you for your patience while we worked to ensure the safety of our Veterans while visiting the North Central Federal Clinic.
Imaging services are now available at the New Braunfels Community Based Outpatient Clinic. Located in Suite 600, this clinic is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Routine x-rays will be offered on a walk-in basis in room 227, and ultrasounds will be available through scheduled appointments in room 224.
Cost: Free
Wheelchair availability: Wheelchairs are available upon arrival for patients who need them to access the building.

Hours: Individual van schedules vary
We work with Disabled American Veterans and county Veterans Affairs directors to provide transportation for Veterans and authorized caregivers to get to scheduled medical appointments.

The registered nurses on our Nurse Advice Line provide you and your family with helpful medical advice and free, confidential answers to many of your health care questions. Call anytime. We're here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. In addition, our nurses can:

Our laboratories provide a full range of clinical and diagnostic testing services. Our laboratory and pathology services include:
- Study of blood, urine, and other bodily fluids for illness management

We use surgical and nonsurgical means to treat illnesses and disorders of the musculoskeletal system, which includes your bones, muscles, joints, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, and other connective tissue. We treat conditions like:

Physical therapy, occupational therapy and kinesiotherapy

Our physical, occupational, and movement therapists combine therapeutic exercise, counseling, education, and training to help you improve your health and quality of life. Our services include:
- Pain relief and joint mobilization
- Movement and exercise therapies to improve your strength, endurance, balance, and coordination
- Mobility assessment and training with wheelchairs, scooters, and walking devices
- Life skills training and activities to help you maintain the highest level of independence and functionality
- Aquatic therapy to manage chronic pain
- Evaluation and treatment for a wide range of medical, orthopedic, psychosocial, and neurological conditions

- Artificial limbs and surgical implants, including artificial joints and pacemakers
- Wheelchairs and other medical devices
- Aids for Veterans who are blind, have low vision, or are hearing impaired
- Adaptive equipment and modifications to make your vehicle or home more accessible
- Other devices and services to help increase your mobility, dignity, and independence
- Clothing allowance for Veterans with devices that damage their clothing

Social work is integral to health care. We can help you and your family manage stress-related problems due to injury or illness, and find VA community resources to meet your needs.
Every Veteran has access to a social worker. Call the Consolidated Outpatient Appointment Center at 210-949-9702 to schedule an appointment with a Primary Care social worker or call Social Work Service at 210-617-5113 to be connected with a VA social worker.
VA social workers can assist with the following:
- Provide information about transportation, financial resources, legal resources, and housing/placement options
- Referrals to community agencies and resources
- Promote education regarding Advance Directives
- Provide supportive counseling
